it's supposed to be taking place in your desktop, so just making a 3x3 or whatever size dungeon would be boring. That's why I have the window move. It's supposed to be like moving from one part of your screen to another.
Once you get to that mindset it makes much more sense, and starts getting less tripy. Now if that is time you want to invest for this silly game, that's up to you.
